Chris Kern

Chris Kern became a Board Member of the Prosper Economic Development Corporation in 2025. He is currently the Director of Sales Operations for Frontier Communications, where he helps align strategy with growth objectives in the consumer sector. With more than 25 years of experience in the telecom industry, Chris brings expertise in continuous improvement, large-scale project management, and strategic analysis for complex organizations. He holds an MBA from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and is a Certified Continuous Improvement Manager (CCIM).

A 20-year resident of Collin County, Chris and his wife moved to Prosper in 2013 with their three children. He was elected to the Prosper Town Council in 2022 and previously served as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner from 2019 to 2022. His other community service includes the Collin County Myers Park Advisory Board, the Prosper Special Purpose Sales Tax District Committee, and the Crime/Fire/EMS Control & Prevention Services Districts.

In 2019, Chris was named Prosper Volunteer of the Year by Prosper Life & Luxury Magazine in recognition of his efforts to promote civic engagement, share public information, and support Prosper’s local businesses and nonprofits. He has also served on the Board of Cornerstone NCT and as League Director for Miracle League Sports. Chris and his family are active members of Hope Fellowship in Prosper.
