As a local business owner (Yates Law Group, PLLC) and an attorney with over 25 years of experience, Jeffrey built his career around helping businesses navigate the complexities of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning. He is proud to bring that expertise to his role as a board member of the Prosper Economic Development Corporation (PEDC), where he is focused on fostering sustainable economic growth in our community.
In his legal practice, he works with a variety of businesses, helping them grow while ensuring they meet the legal standards necessary to thrive in an increasingly regulated environment. This background will prove invaluable in his work with the PEDC, where he will provide guidance on development projects, ensuring they align with Prosper’s long-term vision for growth and community enrichment.
As a new member to the PEDC, Jeffrey is excited about the opportunity to shape policies that drive innovation, attract new businesses, and create jobs for Prosper’s residents. He believes that through collaboration with local government officials, business leaders, and fellow board members, the PEDC will create an economic environment where businesses can succeed while also enhancing the quality of life for everyone in Prosper.
Outside of his professional work, Jeffrey also serves on the board for Journey of Hope, a nonprofit organization that provides compassionate and client-centered mental health care at a time when it is most needed. In addition, he enjoys playing golf, Texas A&M football, fly fishing, snow skiing and spending time with his family in the mountains, which helps to provide him with a balanced perspective on life and work. His family of 4 are members at the North campus of Prestonwood Baptist Church, and his wife works at Prestonwood Christian Academy – North.
