The Prosper Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce Tracy Heckel has been named Executive Director.
Tracy will assume leadership August 1, 2022. Following a lengthy search, the decision to select Ms. Heckel was unanimous as she brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to the organization.
Tracy’s experience includes the banking industry, private sector business development and nonprofit organizational leadership and program development. She is known for her ability to establish meaningful relationships, expand opportunities for businesses, individuals, and the communities in which she resides and works.
“I enjoy new challenges, building sincere relationships and growing my knowledge to benefit others. Working with people is my passion. I am honored to lead the Prosper Chamber of Commerce and will do so with the utmost integrity. Our Town is growing by leaps and bounds. The Prosper Chamber of Commerce has a responsibility to reflect the quality growth for which we are known. I look forward to working with the Town, the Prosper Economic Development Corporation, the Town Council, and the many fine organizations and businesses in our community.”
Kevin Greene, PCC Board member and AVP, Administrator at Cook Children’s Medical Center - Prosper stated, “We are fortunate to have Tracy leading our chamber and the board. The Chamber is experiencing new and exciting changes and Tracy is the perfect individual to lead the organization. Her energy and enthusiasm to build a top-tier Chamber is just what we we’re looking for.” Search Committee and Board member Christy Zuehl, President of EDIT Learning and Design, echoed Mr. Greene’s comments. “We hit the jackpot with Tracy! She is respectful of our community’s history and the people who established the Chamber. Tracy will take the current foundation and steer us towards the future – supporting our members and the growth of our Town. We cannot be more excited for her to lead the PCC.”
Board members, Lee Ann Colbert- Texas Health, Attorney Paul Grenier, Tony Parker-1st Stop IT Solutions served on the search committee. Assisted by the Prosper Economic Development Corporation Executive Director, Mary Ann Moon, and staff, they have, also, been actively involved with the restructuring of the Chamber. Review of the organization’s By Laws, Scope of Work, Vision, Mission and Goals have been discussed, and redeveloped. Additionally, Chamber Member Visioning Sessions were conducted and accompanied by a Member Survey to help chart a path of positive change and value.
