Since October 2019, Cook Children’s established itself as the medical home for the children of Prosper.
In Phase 1 of the campus, Cook Children’s opened an Urgent Care Center and a Primary Care Clinic at Windsong Parkway and Highway 380. The Urgent Care Center opened in October 2019 and since then has cared for more than 6,000 children. The UCC is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., 365 days a year. Patients are seen by an entire staff of pediatric medical assistants, nurses and board certified pediatric physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs).
Prior to Phase 1, Halley Hogan, M.D., was the first Cook Children’s pediatrician to begin practicing in Prosper at her location in Prosper Trail. Dr. Hogan is now joined by Xinya Chuong, M.D. They are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Also in October 2019, Audrey Johnson, M.D., opened her Windsong Clinic which is conveniently located within the same building as the UCC. Dr. Johnson’s practice is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Look for an additional pediatrician to join the Windsong team by spring of 2021.
Cook Children’s Health Care System has the largest network of pediatricians in North Texas. More than 22 Cook Children’s pediatricians support the Prosper campus. The group continues to grow with new practices joining the physician network. Current Cook Children’s locations include Prosper, Denton, Frisco, Hebron, Lewisville, Little Elm, McKinney and Plano.
