Jason Dixon
Board Member
Jason Dixon is a longtime Prosper resident and public servant whose leadership helped shape the Town's growth over the past two decades. Jason and his wife, Dena, moved to Prosper in 2003 with their four children — Mark, Drew, Jacob, and Emma — and began serving the community almost immediately.
Jason's public service spans fifteen years of elected and appointed leadership: four years on the Planning & Zoning Commission (2006–2010) and eleven years on the Prosper Town Council, Place 6 (2010–2021), where he served on the Council's Executive Development Team and chaired the Town's 2012 Comprehensive Plan. During his tenure, Jason helped lead many of the decisions that built the Prosper of today: reducing the number of previously approved apartments by more than half, establishing the Downtown Reinvestment Zone that brought the Town its new Town Hall, and creating incentives that attracted local businesses to Prosper while expanding its commercial tax base. He championed higher building standards to protect property values, the Town's first all-turf athletic fields at Frontier Park, the expansion of Prosper's police and fire facilities, and major roads, water, and sewer infrastructure — all while the Town held the lowest tax rate of comparable Collin County communities, improved its bond rating three times, and saved its citizens millions in interest.
Beyond his involvement with Council, Jason also coached his kids' sports teams and served on the Prosper ISD Open Foundation, the PISD Bond Finance Committee, the Prosper Vision Committee, and the Willow Ridge HOA board. He served on the Capital Campaign Committee at Hope Fellowship Church, where his family continues to volunteer. And outside of Prosper, Jason serves on both the Cotton Bowl Board of Directors and the SMU Athletic Forum Board of Directors.
Professionally, Jason is the President of Trinity Captive Group. He was appointed to the Prosper Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors in 2026.
Jason and Dena raised their kids in Prosper and believe the best is yet to come.
