Prosper prides itself on having parks and recreation facilities that promote healthy lifestyles for all ages and enhances the town’s property values.
The Town is home to more than 350 acres of park land that include open spaces, recreational venues and athletic facilities and tennis courts for you to enjoy the great outdoors. Park and trail development enhance Prosper’s natural landscapes to add serenity to your day whether you are on a walk, cycling or playing on a playground or athletic fields.
More than 30 miles of hike and bike trails weave throughout Prosper with plans for additional trails in future development and to further connect to the veloweb of regional trails.
Frontier Community Park features a major sports complex with lighted natural and turf fields for a variety of sports. Other features include trails, a pavilion, concessions, a catch and release pond, a splash pad and Windmill Playground. In August 2020, Frontier Park was voted “Best Park” by readers of Living Magazine.

Prosper is also home to privately-run Gentle Creek Country Club. The 18-hole championship golf course rolls through 235 acres of manicured fairways and wooded countryside. The gently rolling terrain offers subtle nuances to challenge the more experienced player. Gentle Creek is known as one of the Top 10 golf club courses in Dallas-Fort Worth and one of the Top 50 courses in Texas.
Gentle Creek has played host to AT&T Byron Nelson Qualifiers, US Open & US Amateur Qualifiers as well as Texas Golf Association and professional competitions.
