It’s no secret the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area has been a leader in population growth for the past 20 years. Currently, 7.7 million people live here. In the next decade, DFW is expected to gain nearly 1.4 million additional residents.
A lot of that growth has come from major corporate relocations to North Texas, bringing scores of educated workforce from the east and west coasts and multiple points around the globe. Many of these new Texans are finding their homes in the affluent, booming suburban communities in Collin and Denton Counties north of Dallas.
The Town of Prosper has been an especially attractive place to put down family roots for CEOs and executives, and top tech and medical talent. The Town’s annual growth rate has been between 9% and 13% for the past five years.
Prospers current population is 42,598 (2024) and anticipates having 72,000 residents at buildout in the next 20-to-25 years.
