The Town of Prosper is located in booming Collin and Denton counties 30 miles north of Dallas. The southern border runs for nine miles along US 380 which connects west to I-35E and east to US 75. The Dallas North Tollway and Preston Road/US 289 run north and south through the town, connecting Prosper to all major roadways running south to Dallas.
Two major airports are accessible within a 40-minute drive, DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field, giving Prosper residents extensive route options from the central time zone to either U.S. coast or international destinations.
Prosper is a quick drive north of downtown Dallas and just minutes from the new urban core and major employment centers in Frisco and Plano along the north Platinum Corridor of the Dallas North Tollway.
Prosper is also the next stop along the northern expansion of the Dallas North Tollway (DNT). Currently the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is constructing the overpass across US 380 into Prosper. The overpass is the first part of the DNT Extension Phase 4 Project which will ultimately extend the tollway 13.7 miles north of US 380 to the Grayson County line.
The BNSF railroad runs through the center of Prosper. While no specific plans have been adopted, this rail line has been identified as a potential commuter rail option in the region’s long-term mobility planning.
