She has been helping Prosper residents tell their stories, elevate their brands, and feel proud of the way they present themselves to the world.

Planting Roots in Prosper

2018 was a big year for Jessica, it was the year she launched her business and the year her family put down roots in Prosper. For her, building a business in the same community where she and her family live was a natural decision. “As soon as we moved here, we were surrounded by those who were starting over just like us,” Jessica shares. “It was only logical for me to take business headshots of people who moved here to make a better life for their families.”

A Chamber Ambassador and Community Advocate

Jessica is more than a business owner, she’s an active supporter of Prosper’s growth. As an ambassador for the Prosper Chamber of Commerce, she has attended countless ribbon cuttings, celebrating businesses that contribute to the town’s economic development. “It is truly an honor to be part of this think tank, to see my friends grow their businesses, and to celebrate when a member achieves their goals,” she says.

Capturing More Than a Photo

For Jessica, photography goes beyond the lens. “It is so rewarding to have a job where my sole purpose is to showcase someone’s spirit and elevate their brand,” she explains. A headshot session with Jessica isn’t just about standing in front of a camera, it’s about feeling seen, encouraged, and leaving with an image that makes you proud to put yourself out there.

A Grateful Neighbor

Prosper has gained a sweet new addition with the opening of Swirled Star Delights, a home-based cottage bakery owned and operated by Theshia Geitz. Since opening in February 2024, Theshia has been delighting the community with her fresh-baked artisan breads, gourmet swirls, and her signature creation, the beautifully designed and irresistibly delicious Star Bread that started it all.

For more than six years, Prosper has been home to the Geitz family, and it was here that Theshia’s love for baking truly flourished. Encouraged by friends and neighbors who couldn’t get enough of her unique baked goods, she decided to turn her passion into a business.

“Prosper has such a supportive community for small businesses,” Theshia shares. “Even as the town grows, it still has that small-town feel that makes it special, while also offering opportunities to connect and grow with others.”

Swirled Star Delights is proud to bring handcrafted quality, bold flavors, and eye-catching designs to every order. Customers can place year-round pickup orders or visit Theshia at local farmers markets. Whether it’s a cozy loaf of artisan bread, a swirl packed with sweetness, or her signature Star Bread, Swirled Star Delights is baking up something memorable for every occasion.

Black Willow Boutique has been a beloved part of the Prosper community since October 2020, founded and operated by Ashley Sawyer.

With a thoughtfully curated selection of women’s apparel, accessories, footwear, and gifts, the boutique is all about helping women feel beautiful, confident, and empowered in their everyday lives.

What truly sets Black Willow apart is its personalized, customer-first approach. Ashley and her team are known for creating warm, meaningful connections with each shopper, a commitment that helped them thrive through the challenges of the pandemic and build lasting loyalty in the community.
